Welcome to the Presentation of the Federal Republic of Germany at ACLE 2008 in Shanghai.

Among the exhibitors are suppliers of chemicals and technical solutions for all stages of leather production. The application of these products ensures efficient use of resources as well as conformity with environmental legislations.

New machines and technical solutions are presented for the tanning, shoe and leathergoods industry as well as components and accessories for the shoe industry.

Further You will find offers for semi and finished leathers of central European hide provenance. Contacts to other high quality German tanners in the fields of automotive, furniture, shoe or leathergoods / saddlery leather can be made at the info desk.

In 2007 the total turnover of the German tanning industry reached 450 million EURO and the number of employees amounted to 2,500. Due to the local resources of the high quality German hides, bovine and calf leathers are prevailing in the overall production.

A wide range of environmentally friendly production techniques ensure the protection of natural resources and the absence of harmful substances in the finished product.
