CDT Super powers Harrington to victory again!
Aug '08
Padraig Harrington, Irish professional golfer and HI-TEC sponsored player, certainly proved that the power does come from your feet by becoming the first European in 102 years to win the British Open, back-to-back.

Harrington, powered by his HI-TEC CDT Super Power shoes, finished four shots clear of Ian Poulter after a stirring finish that saw him play his final six holes in four-under-par.

The £750,000 winner's cheque also guarantees Harrington's place in Europe's Ryder Cup for the match against the States in September catapulting him from 14th to a career-high third in the world rankings.

Harrington comments, “It's no coincidence that I was wearing the world's best golf shoes in winning back-to-back Open Championships. In some of the most testing conditions ever, HI-TEC's CDT technology gave me amazing balance and stability.”

Simon Bonham, HI-TEC Group Head of Marketing, “HI-TEC is proud to have provided Padraig's footwear for the past 12 years.

Such long term endorsement commitment is synonymous with our brand and ensures we understand the footwear needs of world class athletes.

The HI-TEC CDT range of golf footwear is testament to the close working relationship we have with Padraig and we are extremely delighted for Padraig a true professional who will once again be the perfect ambassador for world golf as Open Champion.”

Harrington has been working alongside leading global footwear brand HI-TEC for over 12 years and was instrumental in the design and development of the groundbreaking CDT Power concept, proven to be the world's first game improvement golf shoe technology.
