Spring Racing Season in Melbourne

Sexy Italian Fashion Comes to Town This Spring Racing Season The latest spring colours and designs have reached d'Italia, a Melbourne exclusive designer fabric store which directly imports its material from Italy and France. Forget cheap and tacky polyester and nylon-laden dresses at this year's Caulfield and Flemington Spring Racing Carnival and boycott the Chinese sweatshop products.

In preparation for the Spring Racing season, which will be launched this year at the 2008 Melbourne Spring Fashion Week (1-7 September), an extensive range of the latest prints and colours awaits at d'Italia. Fashionistas can now look their hottest in a classy silk number hand-made by a selection of fine local seamstresses this season.

The store currently boasts a range of new spring-inspired prints in silks, linens and French laces. In line with the anticipated trends for the season, bright geranium pinks, blue violets, dandelion yellows, Hermes oranges and tomato reds are plentiful. To create multiple effects, the available colours can be found in a silk burnout fabric.

This unusual and clever mix of silk woven in a combination of sheer chiffon/georgette and solid satin creates a visually stunning designer's dream. For fashionistas wanting more sleek than sedate, a range of metallics are also in store. The selection of crystal silvers, oyster/pewters, and glossy golds are a foreseeable upcoming trend, which will soon diversify the Spring collection for the year.

d'Italia has been providing the Australian fashion industry with high quality fabric for the past ten years. Its completely natural material, which comes from the same manufacturers who provide to haute couture names in Europe like Armani, Escada, and Prada, has made it a highly sought-after product in the local fashion arena.

In-store recommendations and advice on the best fit and designs can be found. d'Italia also offers one of Melbourne's most selective seamstress referral services as an optional addition.
