'Stand Out' Back to School Campaign by Forzani

Athletes World, a corporate banner of The Forzani Group Ltd Canada's largest retailer of sporting goods announced the launch of their "Stand Out" campaign, just in time for back to school at www.stand-out.ca.

The national campaign, developed by Venture Communications, is supported through transit media in Vancouver, Winnipeg, London, Mississauga, Toronto, Vaughan, and Newmarket, an SMS campaign, online advertising, and in-store.

"The 'Stand Out' campaign delivers on the new direction of Athletes World; providing their target consumer a destination where they can build their own look, and stand out, from both a fashion and sport perspective", says Karen van Hunnik, Director - Corporate Marketing.

"The creative is clever and clearly conveys that our consumer wants to be a non-conformist. Our customers don't want to buy someone else's look; they want to create it."

The SMS campaign, with direct link to online, develops engagement with the consumer and builds long-term brand loyalty.

In addition to the OOH campaign, a new television commercial will be forthcoming, which is an extension of the OOH creative.

This integrated contest, which runs from August 14th until September 14th, gives consumers two ways to win. Entrants have the chance to instantly win a $50 Athletes World gift card each day of the contest period by simply texting one of four valid campaign keywords to the short code 500500.

Consumers can also visit www.stand-out.ca for a chance to win one of three Sony PlayStation 3 consoles, one of three Sony PSPs, and one of three $100.00 Athletes World gift cards.

The Stand Out campaign is a great example of how Athletes World stands out from its competitors through its assortment of top brand name apparel and footwear.
