Milwaukee Fashion Week will be held on October 3 - 6, 2008.

Milwaukee shines nationally an internationally with celebrity talent including makeup artist Billy B. hair stylist Syd Curry, and SATC couture designer Gilles Montezin.

Four days filled with beauty, fashion, fun, and a little fantasy. Mingle and learn from celebrity talent, discover emerging Midwest designers, enjoy cruises and after parties and shop at a one-of-a-kind boutique setting trunk show. Promote Milwaukee. Save the dates and reserve your place now for Milwaukee Fashion Week. Headlining collections include Marisa Baratelli, People Like Frank, and a spectacular 35 piece collection from Parisian-trained Gilles Montezin (movies Sex & the City and Confession of a Shopaholic).

Couture in your Closet:
Mr. Montezin has also contributed a black taffeta dress with beaded front, retailing at almost $7000 for auction to benefit Thembalethu Childrens Home (one of two charities benefiting from ticket sales).

The dress will go on display in the next week at Boutique B'lou in the Pfister Hotel. The lucky winner of the silent auction will have a chance to met Gilles, have the dress fitted while Gilles is in Milwaukee, and Gilles himself will alter the gown in his New York City studio. It is a couture lover's dream.

Trunk Show:
Boutique B'lou will also be hosting the unique boutique-style trunk show during fashion week, where you can shop the designers you've just seen on the runway.

Whether you are a industry buyer or a consumer shopper, you will have a chance to meet the designers and see the designs.

Be Well. Live Well. Well Spa:
Beauty and fashion go hand in hand, and Pfister Well Spa will provide a number of pampering services on-site during the shows at no charge to ticket holders.

In addition, MFW attendees can option for discounted packages back at the Well Spa, Milwaukee's premier spa and only location with all private suites.

Workshops:
Style workshops by Jean Voute Pratt (Style Observer, Access Hollywood), style makeovers by local boutique owner Heidi Callaway, a fashion photography panel and more.

Special Collections:
FIERCE by Christian Siriano, a new maternity collection from Project Runway's beloved Season 5 winner, will debut as a special collection at Milwaukee Fashion Week.

Siriano designed the collection as a collaboration with Moody Mamas (founded by Elise Rosemarin and Marta Abrams).

Elise will be onhand for the show, and will also be speaking on her experiences as life as a designer and the joys and the challenges of producing a collection.

Models:
Ford Models is the official agency for this event, and will also be holding a major scout on Sunday, October 5th. Everyone from ages 5-90 is welcome!
