Fashion Design Council of India the apex fashion body congratulates and recognizes some of India's promising design talent. Supporting and nurturing emerging and established design talent has been the cornerstone of FDCI. These designers will showcase their collections at international platforms and facilitate networking opportunities in a global environment.

This quarter the designers who have received the support from FDCI include:
• Rakesh Aggrawal - Tranoi Fair
• Nitin Bal Chauhan -London Fashion Week & Tranoi Fair
• Samant Chauhan - Paris Ethical Show
• Charu Parashar - Multiple Fashion Weeks and Shows Overseas

Mr. Sunil Sethi, President FDCI said, "FDCI in the past has been associated with providing support to its young designers to showcase the creative brilliance at global platforms.

The designers selected this time are known for their unbridled enthusiasm and creative ingenuity. FDCI board has been firm about promoting and encouraging talent and this is one such endeavor. We at FDCI congratulate these designers and wish them good luck."

Said Charu Parashar, "I am grateful to FDCI for recognizing my talent and supporting my efforts to put Indian fashion on the global map. It further strengthens the FDCI's mandate to promote young designers & my participation at the Dubai Fashion Week is an extension of that." Said Nitin Bal Chauhan,

"With more and more Indian designers hitting the foreign turf it is indeed the need of the hour to support, promote and help young designers gain exposure and momentum. FDCI has always believed in this philosophy and I am grateful that they continue to do so."

Said Rakesh Aggarwal, "I am excited to participate at the Tranoi Fair and thankful to FDCI for their support. Acknowledgment from the apex fashion body, FDCI encourages the designer for better work. I look forward to do good business at Tranoi and make India proud."

Said Samant Chauhan, "Needless to say, whatever I am today is because of the support of FDCI and Mr. Sunil Sethi. From my very first show at Singapore to this dream ramp at Carrousel Du Louvre, Paris, FDCI has done all in its capacity and more for me. I am glad many more new designers are now able to get the same kind of encouragement and support, be it moral, financial or otherwise. I look forward to next edition of Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week the only 'Business of Fashion' event in October."

In addition promoting Indian designers to network and experience international fashion weeks, FDCI has created another benchmark in Indian fashion, by initiating India's first Couture Week sponsored by HDIL. The Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week is another platform to promote emerging and established design talent and bring them in contact with buying houses, agents and international experts.

This year as many as 18 promising designers will participate at WIFW for the first time. These opportunities would ensure the production of world class products and pave the way towards creating influential fashion brands.
