Fashion Week all set to rock Tashkent this month

One of the long-awaited events in Uzbekistan – Style.Uz Design and Fashion Week is to be held from October 12–17 this year. Organized by the “Forum of Culture and Arts of Uzbekistan” Foundation and “Dom Stilya” the event will be conducted for the third time and is considered to be the most scaled up fashion-project in Uzbekistan.

The project has got a deep resonance of public of Uzbekistan and foreign specialists. World-known designers of Europe and Asia, and celebrities have become guests of the previous Tashkent Fashion Weeks including Vyacheslav Zaytsev, Valentin Yudashkin, Masha Tsigal, President of “Russkiy siluet” Fund Tatiana Mikhalkova.

Well known global designers like Pascal Morabito and John Ribbe from France and representatives of world-popular fashion houses Smalto, Feraud, Ines de la Fressange, Educational Establishments Association of France Great de la Mode, Paris Fashion Lyceum Paul Poreit are expected to attend the show.

Brilliant designers from Japan Tashikazu Iwaya, Ritsuko Shirahama, Russian make-up and style master Aleksandra Lukash and Igor Stupnikov, one of the leading fashion photographers of the world Andre Rau, Fashion-TV Vice-President Jean-Pier Partuche, Russian trio “Serebro”, DJ Ignace KD S, David and Katie Guetta will also grace the occasion.

This year the rank of the honoured guests is going to be wider with well-known designers, jewelelry and fashion brand owners, showbiz celebrities, international fashion magazines editors, public figures, TV companies and associations from Austria, UK, France, Germany, Italy, Turkey, Israel, India, USA, Switzerland, China and Japan expected to attend the Style.Uz Week.

Expositions, master classes, shows and defiles from established as well as young designers will be done during Tashkent fashion week. Glamorous shows, exhibition of antiques and presentations will also take place simultaneously. The Week's grand-defilé will be held in the central square of ancient Samarkand.

The Style.Uz Design and Fashion Week includes a series of events like:

Fashion show by Tashkent based "Dom Stilya" and foreign guests. Fashion and design exhibition, Republican Festival of National Dress, "Underground" Fashion Show by young designers - Series of fashion shows from professional and upcoming designers of Uzbekistan.

Workshops and master classes will also be organized here for making the event all the more attractive. The contest of graphic works (sketches) and photography, antiques exposition from “Meros” Association, “Gastronomic Review” – a presentation of the best Tashkent restaurants and glamour events are also planned by the organizers.

This project aims to discover new names in fashion and aspires to provide huge opportunities for young designers. Besides, it will also help international exchange and promotion of Uzbek designers on international fashion arena.
