Karen Millen celebrates opening of a flagship store in Moscow

Karen Millen is delighted to announce the opening of a flagship store in Petrovska, Moscow. Since 2002, the London based label, known for its fashion forward collections and international style has achieved great success with its existing four stores in Moscow. The new store is the twelfth in Russia.
The glamour of the Karen Millen collections is echoed in the look and location of the new store. Located in a historical building on the corner of Kuznetsky Most Str. And Petrovska Str. the two floor 3,050 square foot store houses Karen Millen's apparel and accessories collections. To complement Karen Millen's design ethos in Moscow, they turned to the British design firm Brinkworth Consulting, who is behind the architecture and interior design of all Karen Millen stores worldwide.
The goal was to create an environment that not only reflected the brand, but one that responded to the space and the immediate neighbourhood.
Expansion plans continue with other 2008 openings in the region including stores in Odessa,
Ukraine and a new store in the Azerbaijani capital Baku. By the year end, Karen Millen will be
trading from 229 stores in 33 countries.
Creative Director of Karen Millen, Gemma Metheringham comments: “As a brand, Karen Millen has always presented a strong international style and this stands us in great stead when it comes to introducing the collections to new audiences. The Karen Millen woman is strong, confident, sexy and spirited – qualities the Russian woman is famous for. “

The business is set to double in size over the next 3 years.”
