Singer Leah Martin roped in as brand ambassador of Hansiba

Hansiba, the premium flagship brand of Sewa has roped in the American model and singer Leah Martin as their brand ambassador. Leah Martin will now be helping in promotion of the brand to bring international flavor and reach out across the globe.

Leah Martin is here to raise awareness around important social issues through her music and has joined hands with STFC to promote the handicrafts made by the rural artisans under the brand name Hansiba. The southern belle has been the face of top international brands like Pepsi, Oprah Magazine, Jessica Simpson, Tommy Hilfiger, Toy's R Us , and Microsoft to name a few.

Speaking on the occasion Ms Mona Dave, CEO of SEWA Trade Facilitation Centre, said, “We are honored to have a renowned personality like Leah Martin on board to promote the brand. This association will help making a global presence felt thereby empowering the rural artisans.”

Speaking about her association, Ms. Leah Martin said “I really admire Hansiba creations and the work done by Sewa. There is lot of talent in the hands of the young daughters of artisans which needs to be explored in India. It's an honor to be a part of such great work.

The apparels designed by Hansiba artisans and their daughters have magnificent embroidery and unique qualities which will help them create a niche in the national and international markets and bring light and awareness to many lives.”

Leah Martin also conducted the fusion yoga session with the members of Sewa Trade Facilitation Centre, who have been victims of the earthquake and riot in Gujarat. Volunteers of Yuva Unstoppable also visited the boutique.

Hansiba the brand of rural artisans has created a niche for itself by marrying age old embroidery techniques with modern designs and contemporary fashion. It gives meaning to the rich embroideries, the traditional skill and heritage of rural female artisans.

The owners of Hansiba are the rural women artisans, who are the shareholders of STFC. Every Hansiba creation is carefully embroidered by the rural artisans of STFC for whom craft is the only source of income and livelihood.

Hansiba relies on the collaborative work over 3000 female women, which is also its biggest asset. Currently, it has boutiques in Delhi & Ahmedabad and is planning to open 2 more stores this year.
