Pacific Sunwear adds Mr Brett Brewer to BoD

Pacific Sunwear of California Inc announced the appointment of Brett Brewer to the Company's Board of Directors.

Mr. Brewer, 36, is an Internet entrepreneur who has built, operated and sold Internet media companies. Mr. Brewer co-founded Intermix Media, which launched several online businesses including Myspace.com, Skilljam.com and Alena.com. Mr. Brewer currently holds the position of President and Director of Adknowledge.com, a behavioral-based advertising technology company.

Sally Frame Kasaks, Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the Board of the Company, stated "I am very pleased to have Brett Brewer join our Board of Directors. We believe Brett brings a fresh perspective regarding teens which fits well into the ongoing plans of our Company."

Mr. Brewer's appointment takes the size of the Company's Board of Directors to nine members. He will serve as a Class II director for a term of office expiring at the Company's annual meeting of shareholders in 2010.

Pacific Sunwear is a leading lifestyle specialty retailer rooted in the youth culture and fashion vibe of Southern California. The Company sells casual apparel with a limited selection of accessories and footwear designed to meet the needs of teens and young adults. As of November 1, 2008, the Company operated 815 PacSun stores and 125 PacSun Outlet stores for a total of 940 stores in 50 states and Puerto Rico.
