Zara has opened a new store at 5th ave. and 42nd st., in one of New York City's prime shopping areas, reaching six stores in Manhattan and 40 in the United States. The store has a surface area of around 12,000 square feet, making it the biggest Zara store in New York.
The store's interior layout and furnishings reflect the aesthetic which Zara is implementing at its most recent store openings, characterized by straight lines and shades of chestnut. The new store has also its own exclusive personality traits, reflected in a lighting scheme designed especially to highlight its collections and unique decorative elements, such as white lights arrayed throughout the first floor.
This opening brings the number of Zara stores in Manhattan to six, all of them located in the island's leading shopping districts, such as Fifth Avenue, Lexington Avenue or SoHo. The launch in New York coincides with the opening of a Zara store in Pasadena, California. These new stores bring to 40 the number of Zara stores in the US, in cities as Chicago, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Dallas, Philadelphia, Houston, Miami, Washington, Atlanta or Boston.
