Donna Vinci unveils 'Ladies of the White House' collection

Donna Vinci Brands, a leading designer of African-American special occasion attire, celebrates soon-to-be First Lady Michelle Obama with a “Ladies of the White House” Inauguration Collection 2009. Created by designer Danny Golshan, this Fall/Holiday collection commemorates the stately elegance of Michelle Obama, her mother, Marian Robinson, and her daughters, Maila and Sasha.

Golshan feels confident the new Donna Vinci collection will catch the eyes of soon-to-be First Lady Michelle Obama. “She wore a Thakoon Panichgul floral-print dress to the Democratic National convention and a sleek J.Crew pencil skirt on the Tonight Show…why not Donna Vinci brands?” says Golshan. “I feel that Michael Obama will support small family business even in fashion, similar to Isabel Toledo.”

Inspired by the Michelle Obama's dedication to helping others, Donna Vinci is launching special custom design girls' dresses, which Golshan plans to present as the “Malia and Sasha Obama” collection. The dresses enable girls to celebrate this historical inauguration with memorable attire. Proceeds will be donated to the Oprah Winfrey Leadership Academy for Girls in South Africa.
