WLC College hosts alumni meet

They say that college time is the best part of your life, filled with unforgettable memories and fun. This seemed true for alumnus of WLC College Mumbai, who met recently at The Regent Hall, Ramee Guestline Hotel, for the WLCI's Alumni Meet-2008. Erstwhile students of WLC College who have now bloomed into professionals and entrepreneurs attended the gathering.
The WLC College were delighted to meet their old batch mates and were elated to see their alma mater evolve into a world-class professional education institute. They also got to interact with their erstwhile faculty, present at the event.
Alumni of WLC College were also conferred company sponsored awards, for excellence in their field of work. All the 100 nominations for the awards told the success stories of erstwhile students. Ms. Samira Sheikh of 2004 batch who is currently working at Financial Information & Network Operations Ltd as Assistant Manager was awarded the WLC College & Kingston Technology Excellence Award in Human Resource Development.
She had been conferred previously with the Total Quality Management Steering Team Award. Ms. Falguni Bhayani Kharwa who is working as Head, Design services at the Indo-German Chamber of Commerce, got the Excellence Award in Advertising & Graphic Design sponsored by Kingston technology. Ritesh Sampat who is regional head at the Bajaj Allianz General Insurance Co Ltd was conferred with Excellence Award in Finance sponsored by Thomas cook
The award ceremony was followed by a WLC Quiz conducted by Mr. Venugopal, which probed the grey cells of the alumni, with questions such as 'where was the first center of WLC located.' Mr. Sunil, President Marketing, WLC College India & Ms. Bulbul Chaudhary, Regional Director (West), WLC College India, felicitated the winners of the Awards, which were given in seven different categories. Mr. Paresh Shetty, Country Manager, Hewlett Packard; Mr. Vikas Dy. General Manager, DNA and Mr. Manoj Nair DGM- Marketing, Thomas Cook were among the notables at the gathering.
The event ended on a sombre note as all present at the venue observed a moment of silence to pay homage to the brave men from our Armed Forces, Police and the NSG who gave up their lives in Mumbai to defend Us, the citizens of India.
