The Marlboro Classics Spring-Summer 2009 collection is an echo between freedom and formality quite typical of the American West. The road meanders through wide open spaces where one has the feeling that only Nature is the decision maker.

At the end of the journey, you arrive in places where men gather and respect certain dress codes and rules of life. "On the road" is the inspiration theme for the Men's S/S 2009 collection 5-pocket pants remain the reference when seeking out a sturdy pair of trousers for men on the go that will provide at the same time comfort and a practical aspect.

The novelty for this season comes from colors and cross-dyed denim canvases establishing a pleasant harmony with shirts in mixed linen, t-shirts or sweatshirts with Western inspired motifs. Playful embroideries mingle with patches, multiple seams, bright colors and striped motifs for woolen pullovers. Comfortable cuts, multiple pockets, zips: all these extra details bring to mind the importance of functionality when one is on the road.

And when authenticity encounters fantasy that also brings out bermuda shorts with pockets, thin stripes or checks, conveying the finishing touch in a very summery spirit to the more traditional cut pants collections that stand out by a mix of materials and sophisticated treatments.

For "road runners", superb short blousons in dipped lambskin or in washed leather with ribbing are worn over pants with more natural and washed colors inspiring an "Urban West" look.

Upon arrival in the big city, men find themselves wearing polo shirts, symbols of a sporty and relaxed elegance. Offered in a wide range of light jerseys, they are designed with thin colored stripes or play on very typical graphic prints that bring to mind the roots of the brand. The classic chino, icon of the Friday wear, is reinterpreted by Marlboro Classics with a streamlined effect and slightly faded colors in hues such as putty, grey or black, as well as more contrasted ones such as white, pink or red.

Through its lightness and natural sophistication, linen sets forth a very casual spirit for pants as well as shirts, while mixing with cotton and nylon for a both shiny and natural aspect that is more in the line of biker blousons and revisited bush jackets.

A wind of freedom is blowing through town. Shoes and accessories for the traveler Choosing a pair of shoes for travel is just as much a question of style as it is one of protection. This does not mean comfort and resistance are accessories. It is more a question of essential choice to which other considerations can be added.

Everyone recognizes the talent of Marlboro Classics to make real boots for the Western man, boots that can be worn during an entire lifetime and that one qualifies as "vintage", because they perpetuate a truly timeless style. But Marlboro Classics, also runs the gamut of Summer shoes that have been conceived in ultra-light canvas, an essential element of comfort, ideal in strong heat, along with natural and supple materials such as goat skin inlaid with rubber which are combined for the soles.
