Take two of women's greatest passions – couture footwear and gourmet chocolate – package them together in a unique boutique setting and you've got Elleni Couture, the South Bay's new destination for women who want to pamper their souls – and their soles.

A love for shoes and chocolate in her own life led Skylar Tourigny to open Elleni Couture. “I've been passionate about shoes and chocolate my entire life,” she confessed. “Some days it's hard to decide which one I love more, so in the end, I must have both! Hence, Elleni was founded.”

Elleni is indeed a family affair. The boutique is named after Skylar's young daughter, who at 18 months loved to walk in her mother's high heels while eating chocolates. “Like mother, like daughter,” says Skylar's husband, Peter, who has encouraged his wife to pursue her dreams and open Elleni Couture.

“I am bringing women's two weaknesses together under one roof, shoes and chocolate,” explained Skylar. “I don't know of anyone else doing this and am proud of what we've created.”

The best thing about shoes and chocolate together, says Skylar, is that in today's chaotic, stress-filled world, when a woman has the perfect pair of shoes on, she feels confident, sexy and secure. And chocolate adds to the mix by creating feelings of relaxation and satisfaction. Not a bad combination.

Elleni Couture will open its doors on January 10th but will host a Grand Opening Party on January 24th from 11 a.m. – 7 p.m. All shoe, handbag and chocolate lovers are invited to celebrate the opening of this fun boutique and enjoy together the ecstasy that only couture shoes and gourmet chocolate can bring.

During the grand opening, 15% of all sales will be donated to Dig 4 Kids, a nonprofit organization (founded by Eric Fonoimoana, a gold-medalist at the 2000 Olympic Games in Sydney) that helps kids after school with academic tutoring and mentoring with exercise and volleyball lessons.

In addition, several designers (Bettye Muller, Beverly Feldman, BCBGirls, Charles David and Jinny Kim) have donated shoes to be raffled off during the grand opening. Money raised from the raffle ticket sales will also go to support Dig 4 Kids.

Elleni Couture will carry shoes from a wide range of high-end designers such as Bagdley Mischka, Emilio Pucci and Via Spiga, as well as handbags and accessories. The chocoholic's soul will be well fed also at Elleni, with the ability to select from an assortment of organic exotic and classic truffles, caramels, toffees, raw vegan chocolate brittles and raw nut mixes.
