Edmonton Fashion Week celebrates Art of Fashion

The spring summer edition of Edmonton Fashion Week, a full-scale fashion festival celebrating the Art of Fashion will take place April 2-9 2009 in the TransAlta Arts Barns in the heart of Old Strathcona.
EFW now in it's 8th season features lines by local, Canadian and international designers. Additional events include the Salon Showcase (the Art of Coiffure),The Make-up showcase, the Emerging Designer and Stylist Contest and the Style Gallery, an urban fashion and design shopping market, including an installation of visual arts and photography. (7-11 p.m. nightly)
EFW is proud to support ihuman Youth Society; a non-profit organization that uses art as a means of social intergration. A bin will be available at The Transalta Arts Barns to donate art supplies and gently used clothing.
