Vocce Couture represents highly refined style at NYFW

Designers Norma Allen and Thuy Nguyen, the creative force behind the Vocce Couture fashion house, will debut their signature line of couture creations in New York City at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday February 14, 2009. Part of Couture Fashion Week, the fashion show will be held at the world-famous Waldorf-Astoria and promises to be a memorable event.
The exciting collection is called "Modern Elegance" and embodies the characteristics of Vocce Couture: luxurious high-end designs for today's generation of young sophisticates and those seeking the ultimate, individually designed style. Vocce represents elegance and a highly refined style that is still in tune with contemporary fashion.
From exceptionally designed tops, to body-conscious dresses and well-constructed slacks and coats, this Vocce Couture collection is a trend-setting array of mix-and-match pieces ranging from chic and opulent eveningwear to distinct, statement-making designs. This collection captures timeless qualities like glamour and sophistication, but melds modern with traditional by including luxe satin and silk fabrics and drawing from Asian and Latin themes while utilizing technology-inspired hand-sewn designs.
Ms. Allen and Ms. Nguyen are young up-and-coming self-made designers based in Orlando, Florida. Ms. Allen is a native of California who has had a flair for fashion from an early age. Born in Vietnam, Ms. Nguyen is the daughter of a professional seamstress who motivated her daughter to pursue her own fashion dreams. Inspired by many of the legends of couture design like Oscar de la Renta and Christian Dior, these two forward-thinking designers are on a mission to set the tone for the 21st century. While abiding by the historical concepts of couture fashion, Vocce Couture also acknowledges the social influences of our time, and the dramatic impact culture, diversity and personality have on style and design.
