In the past four days, autumn and winter shoes, clothing and accessories have been carefully scrutinised at Copenhagen Fashion Week. Together with the city's other fairs, CIFF and Gallery have provided visitors with broad insight into what Copenhagen is capable of on the fashion front.
With the conclusion of Copenhagen Fashion Week, CIFF at Bella Center and Gallery at Forum Copenhagen can look back on four days of high intensity in the spotlight. Buyers have worked busily to make the final arrangements for their fall and winter collections.
Copenhagen Fashion Week has gathered its forces in the past week; on the day before the start of Fashion Week, the four fairs announced that when Fashion Week returns in August, it will feature a united front comprising CIFF, Gallery, CPH Vision and Terminal 2. Common invitations, marketing and shuttle buses are some of the visions being worked on to improve the quality of Fashion Week.
This edition of the CIFF fair was visited by 29,405 buyers, which constitutes a decline of 9% in comparison to February last year. In spite of this, the fair management at Copenhagen International Fashion Fair are quite satisfied with the result:
“We cannot deny that this fashion week was marked by a sense of crisis. But in comparison to the current situation for European fairs, where our colleagues have experienced declines of 20-30%, we are particularly satisfied with our visitor numbers,” says Jesper Åndahl, Sales and Marketing Director, Bella Center.
Increase in visitors at Gallery Gallery at Forum Copenhagen reports yet another success. The fourth edition of the fair at Forum was visited by 12,315 people, which represents an increase of 5% in comparison to last year's fair in February.
