STYL & KABO I / 2009 – info summary
508 exhibitors applied for the 33rd run of the fair that will introduce 807 textile, clothing, footwear and leatherware brands from 22 countries in 6 exhibition halls. 30% of international exhibitors confirm the international renown of the fairs. The most of them are traditionally from Slovakia and Poland. There will be 49 new exhibitors at Styl and 20 at Kabo.

STYL and KABO are the only fashion and footwear shows in the Czech Republic and also in Central Europe. In spite of the recession in some of the textile industry branches, the interest in presenting companies at STYL and KABO has not changed from last year. At the February STYL there will be fewer companies exhibiting denim brands though. Some companies are still waiting to see the developments in the Czech economy and consider their investments in any kind of publicity. Nevertheless they did promise to attend the fair in August. The market leaders will be present in the same scope and form both in February and in August.

As usual, the classic prêt-à-porter will be presented by OP Prostejov, including the young fashion brand William&Delvin. An innovation is their new Made To Measure programme of custom-made clothes. Visitors to the fairs will surely appreciate the vast segment of costume jewellery in which products will be available from Jablonex, Pearl Bohemica or the Italian Millefiori specialising in the traditional Murano glass jewellery and exhibiting in Brno for the first time ever.

Another very interesting international exhibitor is the Italian Venus Bridal that will introduce new trends in wedding and evening gowns both at their stand and on the catwalk. In underwear we will see the presentation by Monelli that imports goods by well-known international brands such as Calvin Klein, Just Cavali, Guess, Playboy, Madonna and Free Voogue. For the first time we will have the renowned brand Oilily at STYL, a brand for all who look for creative, modern, unusual and yet high quality women's and children's clothes. Their assortment includes also bags and cosmetics. Retailers and hip-hop fans will be introduced to a new brand on the market named DADA which is also the partner of the KABO fair.

Hall F in which exhibitors at KABO traditionally have their stands is going to be very busy again. At the moment we have applications from 37 international exhibitors from 10 countries making up 26% of the total number of 143 exhibitors. Goods will be displayed by outstanding importers, distributors and manufacturers. Bibo Shoes, Wortman, Wendel or Paolo Santini will introduce new trends in the shoe colours and contours.

The Polish company AmerSport will bring the legendary Converse as well all-new brands JUNSPORT and Caterpillar, brands just making their way to the Czech market. Companies from twenty countries worldwide are coming this year, among them will be France, Italy, Netherlands, Pakistan, Poland, Austria, Slovakia, Germany and Spain.
