Liana Camba to launch new collection 'Gentle Wrappings'

Greek fashion designer LIANA CAMBA will be the superstar of the opening ceremony of STYL, KABO, COSMETICS and S1! On the catwalk she will introduce her new collection named GENTLE WRAPPINGS.

The designer herself describes her collection as “Soft silks, wools, cashmeres, fine jerseys, gently wrap the body. Seamless creations embrace tall, slender silhouettes floating around like a breeze making one's head spin and imagination fly! Discreetly alluring figures wrapped in proud color schemes revealing the confident, dynamic, yet utterly feminine woman of today!

Liana Camba started her career in trade but very soon she became attracted to a completely different branch – the world of fashion. Even though she had studied economy and management and worked in the ship-building industry for eight years, in 1987 decided to follow the craving of her heart and founded her design studio LIANA CAMBA.

Today this studio ranks among the successful brands with a vast portfolio of co-operations with names that are well-known in the Greek and international fashion design world. One of the co-operating brands is LAPIN for children's fashion or EL.V.E. specialising in women's fashion.

In 2007 Liana Camba decided to broaden her portfolio and launched a sport line named “SOMA by Liana Camba“. She was inspired by the city atmosphere and turmoil combining simplicity with a touch of luxury.

Liana Camba's designs are versatile, well fitting, pleasant to wear and easily adapted to everyday needs. The designer makes full outfits as well as “jigsaw puzzles” - combinable clothes suitable for women of all ages and shapes. The sizes range from 40 to 48 (Italian).

The work by Liana Camba is available in boutiques in Greece and Cyprus. Under her own name she runs three boutiques in Kolonaki, Glyfada and Thessaloniki. The clothes are made in her own workshops under her personal supervision. The production reaches five thousand pieces per season and her favourite fabrics are cotton, silk, wool and jersey which she imports exclusively from Italy and France.

The latest collection Gentle Wrappings by the Greek designer will be introduced by model and actress Alice Bendová at the opening ceremony. This actress may be familiar to you from the Czech films Bájecná léta pod psa (Wonderful Years That Sucked), Studená válka (Cold War), Hop nebo trop (Root-Hog-Or-Die) or the Fragile Relations TV series and Guess Who I Am TV contest? Presenter Tereza Kostková will ensure a pleasant atmosphere on the catwalk as well as in the auditorium.
