Gold Hangar award for exceptional perfomance in textile or retail

For the thirteenth time, the TextilŽurnál magazine will be presenting its prestigious Golden Hanger Award at the opening ceremony of STYL, KABO, COSMETICS and S1 fairs.

The prestigious Golden Hanger Award was established in order to provide for annual awarding of companies from the textile retail, the clothing/textile industry, as well as from among individuals on the Czech and Slovak markets. “The main criterion for the selection is the exceptional performance in any of the spheres of business in the previous year or over a longer period of time,” said Michal Korol, TextilŽurnál editor-in-chief.

The winners in the categories Czech Producer of the Year, Slovak Producer of the Year and the outstanding prize Personality of the Year were selected by an expert jury consisting of the representatives of the TextilŽurnál magazine, Association of Textile, Clothing and Leather Industry of the Czech Republic, STYL & KABO fairs and manufacturing and trading companies from the Czech and Slovak Republics.

On the following day, 17 February 2009, at 11 a.m. a press conference will be held with the Golden Hanger 2008 holders attended by representatives of all awarded companies and the Personality of the Year. The press conference will also see its official guest – the leading Czech fashion designer Helena Fejková.

This well-known fashion designer is the second important person in the fashion world after Beata Rajská who accepted the invitation for co-operation with this specialised magazine and created the graphic design of three pages of its trade fair issue. In this way the magazine is giving a chance to fashion designers to show other skills. “Both ladies were very successful in responding to this challenge and we are going to continue this unusual introduction of fashion designers. We are already looking for the designer for 2010,” said Michal Korol, TextilŽurnál editor-in-chief.
