Shoe & bag fashion trends for Autumn/Winter 2009/2010

Manufacturers spite frosty winter days with a variety of cosy boots in double-face look. Real lambskin keeps the feet warm even in below-zero temperatures. Innovative technologies and membranes - applied not only in sporty styles, but also in urban styles - turn any walk into a delight.
The new bags
Again in the upcoming Autumn/Winter season, bags will make fashion statements. Numerous variations in medium sizes follow the era of XXL bags. The spectrum ranges from flap and saddlebags to casual pouches, horizontal and vertical formats, fringes, floral appliqués and patchwork interpret the Bohemian style with a wink. The clutch —woman's favourite party companion — becomes everydaycompatible through larger, variable folding formats. Functionality generally plays an important role in bag fashion: a single bag can be carried casually with a strap, elegantly with a short stirrup handle or shouldered next to the body, as needed.
Colour-wise, bags pick up the spectrum of the shoe fashion. Taupe is considered indispensable as a joker colour that works with almost any outfit. Pleats reflect the softness of supple nappa and velour. Crocodile and python embossing in gorgeous natural and brown shades radiate sporty elegance. Nylon and textile materials, primarily lace and plaid pattern, set distinct accents. Accessories such as rivets and clasps in gunmetal have a cool appeal. Crossover bags, bowling bags and weekenders have established themselves as natural unisex themes.
