It was a show every one was waiting for – the Levi's by Tarun Tahiliani denim extravaganza for Fall/Winter 2009 at Lakme Fashion Week.

The show stopper of the evening Akshay Kumar, the brand ambassador of Levi's and the sexiest man in India, strutted down the ramp in a black muscle sleeve Levi's Tee and washed denim jeans to thunderous applause after a great fashion event.

The show divided into four parts featured denim as it has never been seen before created into mind-boggling styles by India's top couturier Tarun Tahiliani.

As the lights went on the backdrop featured the impressive Levi's Tarun Tahiliani crests as the show opened with the first line titled Chintz and Chains collection of denim jeans which was inspired by the Pichwai to Kalamkari prints. It was the total destructed look teamed with Indian touches like motifs and metallic chains that evoked the look of Indian Punk on Rural Rock Star.

The Space Denim collection that stormed the catwalk had tonal threadwork with studs to embellish the pale Brights of Jodhpur blue, marble dust, washed tangerine and the ever popular indigo which is the signature of the Levi's brand.

Tarun then presented printed denim with dull foil paisleys and just a hint of the destructed look added on shaded velvet flocking damask for evening glamour.

The finale line had Levi's and Tarun Tahiliani going for the Indian look with tie and dye inspired acid washes with bits of floral embroidery and hints of dazzle with Swarovski crystals . The accompanying Tees, blouses, tops and jerseys were sexily draped and body hugging or cowled with layers of fabrics.

Show stopper Akshay Kumar was the final icing on the show which had audience that was rocking to the foot tapping music and cheering for the great styles that Levi's by Tarun Tahiliani will put on the racks for the coming season.
