Pearl Academy of Fashion invites retail management students from LDT Nagold, Germany every year, for a five-week exchange programme in India. This year 22 students from LDT had participated under the exchange programme at PAF. During their training the students were oriented towards various facets, techniques and aspects of the Indian textile, apparel and retail industry. They were exposed to a wide variety of issues ranging from how the retail sector is evolving in India to the unique aspects of merchandising, production management, fashion trends and textile surface treatment techniques. To supplement their knowledge they were also taken on various field trips that enhanced their perspective of the uniqueness of the Indian textile, apparel and retail industry.

PAF's validation agreements and international exchange programmes with LDT Nagold, world's highly recognized institute in fashion and retail education; enables the institute to keep pace with emerging global trends. Through such arrangements, the academy provides a unique opportunity for its students to acquire international experience. International agreements even permit students to continue further studies with these universities.

In his inaugural address Mr. AKG Nair, Group Director- Pearl Academy of Fashion said, “I congratulate all the students for successfully completing the course. International exchange programmes and research partnerships have always been a great learning platform for international students. By strengthening institutional collaborations and promoting stronger links to industry and related communities, this initiative will help the students to get an insight of Indian Fashion Industry.”
