R.G. Barry names Mr Hong Zeng to top sourcing post

Accessories footwear marketer R.G. Barry Corporation has named global sourcing veteran Hong Zeng as its China-based Vice President of Sourcing.
Mr. Zeng most recently was general manager for a Chinese footwear manufacturer in Fuzhou. He previously held executive management and sourcing positions with companies including Stride Rite, Converse, Kenneth Cole, Skechers and Endicott Johnson. Zeng replaces the Company's current vice president of sourcing, Michael Schatz, who is retiring later this year after 15 years with the Company.
“Hong's extensive experience in all aspects of successfully managing global sourcing operations fits perfectly with our strategy for growth and expansion of our supplier network,” said Glenn Evans, R.G. Barry Corporation Senior Vice President of Supply Chain.
“As our business continues to evolve, we believe that a manager of Hong's caliber will be critically important to us if we are to continue correctly identifying and utilizing the type of strategic sourcing options that will maximize our overall performance and profitability.”
