Revo Polarcast - style meets substance & science

Revo continues its legacy of advanced lens technology by launching a new collection of sunglasses designed with some of the most advanced, lightweight materials on Earth. Thirteen new styles featuring lenses made with Revo Polarcast technology provide unparalleled polarized protection from the sun and the elements.
"Revo is synonymous with technology," said Libby Walikis, general manager, Revo. "Our latest collection continues in this tradition while also adding new style to our technological roots."
Revo Polarcast technology is the result of several optical innovations. It begins with lenses that are made from Serilium, one of the only lens materials capable of withstanding high-velocity impact from objects like gravel and sand. Every Revo lens receives three coatings: a selective wavelength attenuation coating which allows usable light to pass through the lens while blocking glare from haze, fog or other forms of diffused light; an anti-reflective coating to eliminate any light that bounces off the inside of the lens; and an Element Shed coating to ensure that virtually anything, from dust and sand to rain and snow, will roll off the surface of the lens.
Each Revo Polarcast lens is infusion molded, which fuses all lens materials into a single layer. "The best lenses are one layer," said Walikis. "The more layers your eyes have to look through the harder your brain has to work to compensate."
Unlike most sunglasses on the market, Revo frames are designed around the lenses. A patented Motion Fit system positions sunglasses to ideal locations on the nose and ears. This allows for optical clarity from any angle, reducing eyestrain.
Revo sunglasses were designed to have a big impact on the eyes, but very little impact on the Earth. Select styles have been designed with Revo Re-Use frame components. Which means they are made from 100% recycled pre-consumer polymer resins. Another reason why Revo sunglasses have attracted the attention of a new generation of visionaries like global water advocate Alexandra Cousteau and mountaineer Jimmy Chin.
