'FIT is now a resource for the trade show' - Skyline Genesis

The Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT), held its annual Thesis Capstone Event for the Graduating MA class of 2009 in Exhibition Design, on Monday, May 11, 2009. Glenn Diehl, President of Skyline Genesis Event Marketing, was among the panel of judges to review the thesis submissions.
"FIT is such a resource for NYC and with this Exhibit Design program, it is now a resource for the trade show and event industry," said Glenn Diehl. "It was so encouraging to see the coming of age of the program."
Sixteen students had their final thesis work displayed as individual exhibits throughout the entire floor and the judges had to critique their work verbally and provide written comments after the event. The thesis consisted of two parts: the thesis statement (hypothesis or challenge) and the exhibition project (how they tested their thesis). Each exhibition project had a specific audience and varied in the emotion it evoked, some were surprising, stimulating, interesting, powerful provocative and/or meaningful.
"To see such talent coming into our industry is encouraging and bodes well for the future of exhibit and environmental design," Diehl added after reviewing all of the participants' projects. "It was our pleasure to be part of the event."
Skyline Genesis Event Marketing is the New York based authorized dealer for Skyline Exhibits. Its solutions range from providing full tradeshow and event marketing products and services; including custom exhibits, large format graphics, complete design services, asset management, rentals, exhibit staff training, lead management services and seminars.
