On Thursday, June 18th, Montblanc will officially open the doors of its new boutique location in The Galleria, Houston's famed shopping destination that is home to nearly 400 of the world's most renowned retail boutiques and fine department stores.

The new luxurious space has increased twice the size of Montblanc's previous location within the mall and will offer clients a vast selection across the brand's collection of men's and women's watches, fine jewelry, leather accessories, and exquisite writing instruments, including the iconic Meisterstuck fountain pen that celebrates its 85th anniversary this year.

The expansion of the Houston boutique is the first of two that Montblanc will execute this year, the next of which will take place in Beverly Hills in late July on Rodeo Drive. In 2008, the brand known for over a century for its master craftsmanship and commitment to product excellence also opened new locations in Las Vegas, King of Prussia, Westchester, and Chicago.

"We are very excited about our new boutiques as well as having the ability to expand our retail network in the U.S.," said Jan-Patrick Schmitz, President and CEO of Montblanc North America. "Montblanc is dedicated to providing all of our clients a world class shopping experience and we are proud to have a successful presence in The Galleria."

The grand opening of the Houston boutique coincides with the launch of the Montblanc "Signature for Good" Special Edition Collection which has been specially developed and designed in support of UNICEF to benefit their worldwide education and literacy programs. Part of a year-long charity initiative, the Montblanc Meisterstuck "Signature for Good" special edition writing instrument is the first to launch in a series of products from which 10% of the retail price will be donated to UNICEF.

"Montblanc has been a proud supporter of UNICEF since 2004 and in these times it is of utmost importance that we raise awareness of the need to combat global illiteracy and provide strong support of children in communities around the world who do not have access to proper education," said Schmitz.
