Schuylkill Valley Sports opens new store in Wilkes-Barre, PA

Schuylkill Valley Sports, providing major athletic brands of footwear, clothing, team apparel, equipment and licensed collectibles, is pleased to announce the grand opening of its newest location in Wilkes-Barre, PA in the Wyoming Valley Mall bringing new jobs to the region.

The mall, located off of route 81 near the intersection of routes 115 and 309, hosts this new 5,000 square foot store between Macy's and Bolton's in the space formerly occupied by the Shoe Department. Shoppers will find the most popular brands of sporting goods like Nike, Adidas, Puma, Under Armour, Crocs, Oakley, Easton, DeMarini, Nokona, The North Face, and more.

“We are extremely excited to be a part of the Wilkes-Barre community,” said Jerry Williams, President of Schuylkill Valley Sports. “The combination of our retail and team-sales business has proven to be a success. We certainly look forward to delivering our customary high level of service to Wilkes-Barre and the surrounding communities.”

The Wilkes-Barre location becomes the 18th location that Schuylkill Valley Sports has opened over its 38 year existence. Through these locations and the company's online store at www.SVSports.com, it serves up a vast array of quality sporting goods as well as a full range of popular licensed team apparel for the Eagles, Flyers, Phillies, Sixers and many more.

In addition to providing retail store-front and website service to the public, Schuylkill Valley Sports is a leading retailer to schools, athletic-minded groups and organizations making it one of the largest team and institutional sporting-goods dealers in the U.S. The company caters to these organizations with services such as volume custom screen printing and embroidery outfitting them with uniforms, t-shirts, staff shirts and more.
