Singer Javine launches Fifi badges for Jeans for Genes
Jul '09
Celebrity Mum and singer, Javine Hylton, and her 18 month old daughter Angel Mai Hylton Harvey, hosted a musical tea party in Battersea Park to launch a collection of badges for the children's charity Jeans for Genes.

Jeans for Genes Day 2009 is on Friday 2nd October.

Special guest at the party was the popular pre-school favourite, Fifi and the Flowertots, who features on the glow-in-the-dark collection and local nursery children.

The singer, most widely known for representing the UK in the Eurovision Song Contest in 2005, launched the range of Fifi and the Flowertots badges to raise money for children with genetic disorders.

The badges feature four different styles for children to collect which cost £1 each from www.jeansforgenes.com/webshop

Javine says; “As a mum, I'm very pleased to work with Jeans for Genes and raise awareness and funding for such a good cause. I love wearing my jeans and I hope that everyone across the country buys a Fifi badge and wears their denim outfits on 2nd October for Jeans for Genes Day!”

Javine started her career at 18 years of age when she won the role of Nala in the West End production, The Lion King. She then found fame on Popstars: The Rivals, where she narrowly missed out on making it into girl group, Girls Aloud.

In 2006, Javine was not only awarded the title of 'Rear of the Year', but she was crowned champion in the hit TV show, The Games. She has now taken on the biggest role of her life as mother to her beautiful daughter, Angel.

Fifi and the Flowertots is the number one pre-school brand for girls in the UK (Source: May NPD). Children can tune in daily to see their favourite flower friend on Five's Milkshake! daily at 8am or on Nick Jr at 2pm with new episodes kicking off from 10th August everyday at 6pm.

Stockists of Fifi badges for 2009 include Haven, Leeds Building Society and Harrods children's department.
