Market Center Management Company (MCMC), the management company of leading wholesale trade centers and trade events around the world, announced an exclusive partnership with international trend forecasters Mudpie and Denimhead.

The agreement establishes GlobalTex: L.A. International Textile & Sourcing Fair as the only trade event in the western U.S. featuring these respected trend services. “Our partnership with Mudpie and Denimhead furthers our commitment to deliver quality resources promoting superior trends,” said Bill Winsor, president and CEO, MCMC. “These two companies represent the highest level of international trend intelligence. Their exclusive presence at GlobalTex will provide invaluable services as well as attract key visitors to the show.”

Mudpie will provide two services at GlobalTex: directional trend displays and seminars. In addition, Mudpie will provide GlobalTex attendees the opportunity to purchase its trend books and online trend forecasting service. Mudpie's mission is to design, distribute, sell and promote the world's leading trend information within printed products, online services and design consultancy.

The company includes a range of services including: Mpdclick, a leading commercial online fashion trend forecasting service; Trendbooks, leading trend, graphic, print, pattern and color forecasting books; and Consultancy, a consultancy team for full design process from presentations, trend boards and color direction to final graphic and garment ranges. Fiona Jenvey founded Mudpie as a design consultancy in 1993, which today leads the industry in innovative trend information with its trend books for the contemporary women's, men's and children's wear industries. Jenvey has worked with clients including Warner Bros., Disney, Mattel, USA Pro and Pepe London.

“It is very important to offer the West Coast an international perspective on trends and color direction,” said Jenvey, CEO, Mudpie. “GlobalTex has emerged as the premier West Coast event and we are pleased to partner with them to continue to provide needed business intelligence.”

Denimhead will participate in the show as the anchor of the Wear section, providing trend books and services geared toward helping companies begin the design process secure in their understanding of the direction the market is heading. Denimhead is a cutting edge fashion service specializing in denim and casual sportswear. Its books provide the most recent photographs from fashion capitals throughout the world and include original sketches for inspiration—both of which are intended to help with the design process. Jill Perilman, an accomplished denim designer of 22 years, founded Denimhead in Los Angeles in 2004, after being frustrated with the lack of current denim and casual sportswear information in the apparel marketplace.
