Nuance-Watson (Hong Kong) is pleased to announce that it has been awarded a further extension for the two core licenses of General Merchandise and Perfume & Cosmetics until the year 2012. This coincides with the completion of extensive construction and refurbishments through which, over the past ten months, Nuance-Watson (Hong Kong) has introduced a whole series of new brands and concepts for its key stores “The Atrium” and “Temptation Duty Free”. The two licenses had been extended to 2010 by the Airport Authority Hong Kong only last year.

Nuance-Watson (HK) is excited to announce that after ten months of construction and refurbishment, the company has completed the introduction of a whole series of new brands and new concepts for its key stores “The Atrium” and “Temptation Duty Free”. Both stores form part of the two core licenses – General Merchandise and Perfumes & Cosmetics - which were originally extended to year 2010 by the Airport Authority Hong Kong last year and were now granted a further extension until 2012.

New high-profile fashion brands for “The Atrium”
Spanning 760 square metres of retail space, “The Atrium” in Terminal 1 East Hall presents a boulevard of new in-shop brand corners. Internationally recognized brands that are making debuts at the redefined “The Atrium” include Bulgari, Franck Muller, Jaeger-LeCoultre, Montblanc as well as some of the world's most venerable fashion houses such as Aquascutum, Hugo Boss, Longchamp, Paul & Shark, Porsche Design, Salvatore Ferragamo, Samsonite Black Label and Tumi.

An enhanced beauty offer at “Temptation Duty Free”
Beauty offerings at “Temptation Duty Free” in Southeast Hall have also been given a boost. The expanded space of 740 square metres celebrates the arrival of long-awaited popular Korean brands Laneige and Sulwhasoo, in addition to the existing range including Shiseido, Shu Uemura and SKII, to expand the Asian beauty selection. Premium beauty label RéVive joins other luxury skincare products including Bulgari, Clé de Peau, Guerlain, La Mer, La Prairie and Sisley, making a splash to entice and pamper customers with a new dimension of luxury beauty. For customers looking for natural or organic cosmetic solutions, “Temptation” now offers a whole new “well-being” zone housing Amala, Jurlique, L'Occitane, Natural Sea Beauty, Origins and lately The Body Shop. Bobbi Brown and Maybelline also made their debuts at “Temptation” with their popular make-up collections.

All these new additions greatly enhance Nuance-Watson (HK)'s retail portfolio and reaffirm its commitment to offering the best airport shopping experience to customers at Hong Kong International Airport.

Commenting on the delightful double news of the completion of the refurbishment projects and further extension of the core licenses, Ms. Alessandra Piovesana – Nuance-Watson (HK) Regional Managing Director of North Asia said: “We are very glad about the decision of the Airport Authority Hong Kong and we feel that our on-going commitment to the path of excellence and innovation is paying off. Since we began operations at Hong Kong International Airport in 1998, our objective has been to establish a long-term viable business. We have invested heavily in business analysis and consumer research. Over the years, we have been taking a steadfast approach to growth through strengthened partnerships with brands and the Airport Authority. In spite of the frequent changing nature and uncertainties of tendering, and even amidst the current economic downturn, our company continues to invest in major infrastructural enhancement projects to continue to develop our airport in collaboration with the Authority, explore new opportunities for our brand vendors and, ultimately, always ensure we offer the “best of the best” for the utmost satisfaction of our customers. The extension will give us further confidence in fully exploiting the potential of our new brands, new concepts with more innovations and initiatives within a longer life span.”

Nuance-Watson (HK) is the largest retail operator at HKIA, operating 43 stores under a largely diversified retail portfolio including general merchandise, perfumes and cosmetics, audio-visual/electronics, brand boutiques and specialty stores.
