Mahindra Rodeo show presented the Kunal Rawal collection that rocked on the ramp at Lakme Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2010.
Cuba was also a popular inspiration for Kunal Rawal's collection presented by Mahindra Rodeo, the newly launched 125 cc Power Scooter from the Mahindra Two Wheelers at Lakme Fashion Week Spring/summer 2010.
From the colourful Guayabera shirts of Cuba with distinct Indian elements to the military influences of that country's cuts and embroideries; Kunal Rawal's men's wear was a vibrant mix of Indian and Cuban sensibilities. With organic muslin, linen, denim and cotton, the look was a perfect comfortable summer offering which the trendy men will appreciate.
The colour story in solids like orange, purple and green with ivory and beige; was in relaxed silhouettes to recreate the Cuban charm and atmosphere inspired by the sleek lines of the Mahindra Rodeo.
Kunal's high voltage show started with summer shirts with pin tuck detailing that ran down the front and back of the garment. Threading touches on the shirt fronts and buttons as embellishments gave a new dimension to garment decoration.
Adding his quaint touches to the looks, Kunal had a mock waist coat on an ecru shirt, lots of flap pouch pockets, crushed and crimped unlined jackets, ankle buttoned churi pants, long sleeve open knit cardigans, vests under casual jackets, kurtas in shades of ivory, teal, beige and grey, narrow cuffs, reverse denim two tone shirts and tunics and some formal touches like mother of pearl buttons to highlight evening jackets.
To the rocking beat of the Ankur Tiwari and the Galat Family Band, the finale and showstopper was the young rising star, Pratik Babbar of Jane Tu Ya Jane Hum fame, who happily strode down the runway in a cream suit and tunic.
When it comes to some very interesting and practical but slightly off the beaten track designing for men's wear, Kunal Rawal's young and trendy collection presented by Mahindra Rodeo is the label that the sartorially perfect men will opt for.
