Aavaranaa introduces Diwali Designer Saree collections

With Diwali around the corner, Aavaranaa the ethnic designer saree boutique in Chennai is all set to celebrate the festivities in style. On shelves this season is the latest collection of designer sarees exclusively for the season of Diwali from Aavaranaa. Made from pure Kanchipuram silks, these sarees come woven in the Uppada style with intricate zari work with extensive abstract designs. Grandeur and trendy is the style mantra of the season.

A notable saree in the collection comes in a pure Kanchipuram silk material, sporting a lighter earthy shade of reddish-brown, dark green and orange. The saree has a broad border with large abstract designs woven with zari. Smaller abstract zari patterns are woven through out the saree, giving the attire a grand feel. The pallu boasts of intricate zari work which complements the saree, blending together to create an elegant and stylish look.

The Diwali collection is available for a limited period from the 10th of October 2009 to the 18th of October '09.

Speaking about the collection, Ms. Vijayalakshmi Krishna, Managing Partner of Aavaranaa said, “Chennai is a city of endless dreams, where glamour and fashion in all forms that touches each citizen, regardless of which strata of society they hail from. At Aavaranaa, we create undiluted, never seen before fashion forward styles that hit the right note of classy glamour, appealing to customers during the festivities.”

Another notable saree comes in a dark green shade with a broad maroon border styled with a big abstract zari design. The saree is adorned with large golden zari polka dots that create a trendy modern look. The saree is made of pure kanchipurams silk. The pallu is designed with intricate zari works.

Each creation which is a new-age expression of ethnic traditions; be it silk intrinsically woven with vibrant hues and zari or pure kanchipurams silks woven in the Uppada styles. The collection blends traditional techniques with innovative ideas to create dress materials that are both beautiful and unique. The Diwali collection is an occasion to fall in love with elegant pure silks with thin borders and in vogue attractive colors. Pamper your artistic side with stunning abstract prints done in zari with intricate designs.

Commenting on the new collection, Soorya Krishna, Head designer – Aavaranaa said, “The Diwali collection is all about elegance and style. Each saree has been crafted with close attention to creating a harmonious fusion of traditional and modern styles. The blends of traditional colors with modern designs are quite prominent in this collection. I'm sure our customers will take to the collection instantly!”

Creating a niche for itself in the women's apparel segment, Aavaranaa is an exclusive saree boutique specializing in a variety such as silks, tussars, georgettes, crepes and chiffons. Aavaranaa is currently present in Chennai and in Coimbatore. A sapling amongst its competitors, Aavaranaa, is still in the nascent stage of development. However, their current retail presence is over 2500 sq ft. Aavaranaa set out to create a revolution in the silk saree segment in Coimbatore in the year 2001 and further stepped into Chennai in 2006.
