Suzy Amis Cameron has created and developed "Red Carpet Green Dress" to benefit MUSE Elementary, a non-profit school in Topanga, California, she founded and for which she continues to serve as creative visionary. "Red Carpet Green Dress" is a dress contest providing opportunities for entrants around the globe to design a dress for Amis Cameron to wear on the red carpet this awards season.

Amis Cameron developed "Red Carpet Green Dress" to stimulate global green education and raise funds for MUSE Elementary. "Red Carpet Green Dress" provides the opportunity for amateur designers to create a black tie dress made of natural/organic or sustainable materials while also encouraging these future designers to estimate carbon footprints when creating their clothing lines.

Designs submitted will be reviewed with one grand prize winner chosen by Amis Cameron. The grand prize winner will have their design brought to life by Academy Award winning Costume Designer Deborah Scott and worn by Amis Cameron on an awards red carpet between February and March 2010. The grand prize winner will also be brought to Los Angeles to consult with Scott on the design; provided a four-night stay at the luxurious Fairmont Hotel & Bungalows in Santa Monica; receive a private VIP tour of MUSE Elementary; and meet with Amis Cameron and her husband, Academy Award winning director and producer James Cameron.

"Red Carpet Green Dress perfectly connects to MUSE Elementary's global green philosophy by applying environmental awareness to our everyday lives," said Amis Cameron. "I look forward to Red Carpet Green Dress becoming a signature event, not only for MUSE, but also for Hollywood's award season."

Beginning December 1, 2009, entries will be accepted for "Red Carpet Green Dress".The contest is open to anyone across the globe who meets entry qualifications. The contest ends on January 22, 2010 and the winner will be announced on January 29, 2010.
