Nuance Group renews Edelweiss Air contract

The Nuance Group is pleased to announce that it has won a contract extension for the operation of Edelweiss Air's inflight sales programme. The new contract is valid for three years from January 1, 2010.
Zurich-based holiday carrier Edelweiss Air is part of the Lufthansa/Swiss group and carries 720,000 passengers every year. The airline operates three Airbus A320 and one Airbus A330, mainly serving charter and holiday destinations.
Nuance has been managing Edelweiss Air's inflight business ever since the company started operations in 1996.
Stephan Salvisberg, Sales and Operations Director, The Nuance Group Europe, explained: “We are pleased about this contract extension for Edelweiss Air's inflight business. Our respective teams have worked together very closely and efficiently over the past 14 years, managing to provide an attractive offer tailored to Edelweiss Air's particular set of destinations. In addition to our main onboard shopping catalogue, this includes special catalogues for particular target groups such as Japanese language special edition for flights to Japan. We look forward to continuing this successful relationship and to providing customers onboard Edelweiss Air flights with a meaningful shopping offer.”
Markus Gander, Head of Inflight Services for Edelweiss Air, added: “The on-board sales is an important aspect of our in-flight service for our guests. Thanks to the successful partnership with Nuance, we are able to present a range of high quality articles at attractive prices.”
