Textile Forum sponsors UKFT Export Award

Textile Forum, the fashion fabric exhibition, is sponsoring the new textile category in the prestigious 2010 UK Fashion and Textile Export Awards, which are being held on 13 May at The Landmark London. Hosted by Joanna Lumley, the Awards will be presented by HRH The Princess Royal.
“We are thrilled to have been invited to sponsor this new category which will further raise the profile of both British textiles and Textile Forum in the international arena,” says organiser Linda Laderman. “The textile award is aimed at companies of all sizes, whether they are established exporters or relatively new to selling overseas. Companies are judged not just on their sales figures but also on marketing initiatives and their approach to selling overseas, so if businesses are not selling as much as they were a few years ago, but still have a strong, or growing, export business, then they should enter.”
Entries are judged by a panel of industry experts and a shortlist of three finalists selected, each of whom will receive one free guest place at the lunch. The winner will receive a trophy and £1000 worth of travel vouchers to encourage further export sales development.
