Today fashion design is no longer tied to places and often the borders between conceptual art and fashion blur. To offer new progressive collections a new hot spot of fashion diversity the Igedo Company will be presenting a new location for Best Brands from Summer 2010.

Situated on Belsenplatz in Düsseldorf-Oberkassel, IMPULSE.THE SHOWROOM will provide the stage for 100 high-end collections from 24 to 28 July 2010 to be presented to up-market national and international specialist retailers.

IMPULSE.THE SHOWROOM will be pitched as a five-day, temporary addition to the permanent showrooms in the city centre and detached from the cpd exhibition grounds – thereby allowing retailers to order numerous collections in a short period of time. Boasting musical and culinary highlights the Oberkassel neighbourhood will become THE Place2Be in Düsseldorf.

“Düsseldorf has a unique fashion and art scene and we are generating synergies so as to jointly and powerfully break new ground in marketing: Fashion + Art = Düsseldorf 2.0”, explains Mirjam Dietz, Executive Fashion Director at the Igedo Company.

In cooperating with various partners who deal with future trend scouting and new “converging worlds” a unique selling point will be created for Düsseldorf as a location. “Art touches us on a level that is hard to describe. Fashion seems like a play we cannot get enough of. If these two worlds meet a cocktail of glamour and genius will enrich us,” says Andrea Grudda, Sales & Lifestyle Coach at T&T.

And Mirjam Dietz adds: “In a changing market situation new avenues for presentation must be developed – inexpensive and without any long-term strings attached to them.”

Belsenplatz in Oberkassel is within 5 minutes of Kaiserswertherstrasse and Cecilienallee and can pride itself on a hip catering and lifestyle scene. “Thanks to the extraordinary setting of the light-flooded factory loft we now have opportunities for classy, up-to-date brand building,” explains Project Director Verena Malta. The partner for staging and visualising the project is the agency “Heilight” from Neuss. The cooperation partner for this project is the unichfashion.company.
