Shantanu & Nikhil to create adidas Style Essentials line - 'S&N'

The adidas Style Essentials Spring/Summer 2010 collection is focused on fashion-alert youth. It captures the mood and the vibe they want to project, and brings to life their sense of style and self-expression. The collection is chic and modish with a fresher and brighter colour palette, giving a break to the dull neutrals.

It is divided into three lines namely Urban Traveller, Tee Time and City Bike. The cuts allow comfort as well as utility along with being high on style; for women, the tops are fitted on waist and longer in length, lending a lean look. For men, the t-shirts have well fitted shoulders and bicep hugging sleeves.

There are interesting hidden details that add to the utility of the products such as printed tapes, loops, mobile pockets, mesh insets and more. The collection includes a diverse range of tops, t-shirts, polo-necks, tunics, track pants, shirts, skirts and shoes along with accessories including bags, belts and wallets, amongst others.

The first S&N collection for adidas Styles Essentials is called 'Moto Chic' which is also the collection which is being showcased at the Lakme Fashion Week. The inspiration for the collection came from the black and yellow diagonal stripe caution boards. New York city cars, people and energy on the streets were inspirations. The checkered details have been used extensively in the garments. The collection includes track pants, shorts, skirts, vests, jackets, polo T-shirts, day to evening wear drape dresses some footwear and bags.
