New York City based fashion designers, To-Tam and To-Nya Ton-Nu will present their fall ready-to-wear collection as part of the “I Am Brooklyn” Brooklyn Fashion Week{end} fashion showcase.

Fashion's yin and yang twins, To-Tam and To-Nya, founders of the SACHIKA label will present their fall 2010 women's wear collection along with the introduction of their new line, TUX by SACHIKA for men during the “I Am Brooklyn” fashion showcase presented by Brooklyn Fashion Weekend on Sunday, April 11, 2010 at the historic Brooklyn Navy Yard.

Identical twin designers, To-Tam and To-Nya, infuse gorgeous silks and rayon, jersey, mesh, fresh cottons, velour and burnt out velvet fabrics for this season's collection. The women's wear line features an assortment of relaxed tailoring with soft draping in rich palettes of black, deep raspberry, putty grey, purple, ivory and navy hues. This collection of wearable dresses, although seductive, combines classic elegance and femininity with a contemporary touch to create an effortless stylish look.

Their women's line is compromised of sensuous and alluring yet comfortable dresses that are inspired by confident women on the go who believe in power dressing. “This season, the emphasis is on strong shoulders, feminine silhouettes along with luxurious fabrics,” said To-Nya Ton-Nu.

“The SACHIKA woman acts and looks like a lady, but she thinks like a man. She is disciplined and focused on her goals,” says To-Tam Ton-Nu.

This season also marks the debut of their line TUX by SACHIKA for men. TUX by SACHIKA is a line of premium basic tee's for men, which unites the classic lines of a Tuxedo shirt on a comfortable and well-fitted t-shirt. The strategically placed seams, tucks and piping details accentuate a well-constructed and flattering cut. The t-shirts are made of Supima cotton fabric. The TUX tee's are an all-year-round must-haves in a man's wardrobe.

SACHIKA will be presented to an audience of press, fashionistas, socialites and other fashion professionals at Stage 6 Studios at the Brooklyn Navy Yard with proceeds going to benefit the Abner Louima Foundation for Haiti. The event will be hosted by Abner Louima, Alex McCord and Simon van Kempen of the Real Housewives of New York and Derek Warburton.
