Tartan designer Veronica MacIsaac is showcasing her latest Fall/Winter Collection at Atlantic Fashion Week in Halifax on Friday, April 16th, 2010 at The World Trade and Convention Center on Argyle Street.

Veronica started sewing at the age of four and was taught by her parents, who now run the critically acclaimed MacIsaac Kiltmakers, selling custom made, hand sewn, traditional kilts to a global customer base including Clan members, pipe bands, and highland dancers. Growing up in a Scottish family, Veronica also celebrated her Celtic heritage through dance, art and now fashion. Her latest collection is inspired by the late legendary designer Alexander McQueen. Inspiration was drawn from McQueen's use of his family tartan and Celtic culture, which Veronica idolizes immensely.

The Veronica MacIsaac collection is the perfect transitional-fix for fall and winter pieces this season. Details such as subtle pin-tucking, contrasting tartans, soft gathers and exquisite color characterize her designs, giving them a modern, edgy slant. Her stylistic variations range from:

• Night to day with minis and gowns
• Casual to dressy with separates and cocktail dresses
• And, rich colors like deep blues, dark grays and lush greens

Atlantic Fashion Week is a multi day event held at the World Trade and Convention Centre in Halifax and is attended by store buyers, press, designers, photographers, consumers, and VIPs.
