GLOBAL SHOES – leading trade show for sourcing is benefiting from the economic upturn in the international markets and is showing an increase in exhibitors for the upcoming September event: Approximately 410 exhibitors from 20 countries will present themselves from 10 to 12 September in halls 8a and 8b on the Düsseldorf fairgrounds.

This represents an eight-percent growth in exhibitors compared with the previous year's event. This once again underscores the fair's standing as a leading trade fair for OEMs (Original Equipment Manufacturers) and volume suppliers.

Next to the significantly expanded product offerings, the upcoming GLOBAL SHOES will attract attention with its further developed hall design. For example the Buyers Lounge in hall 8a has been completely redesigned, offering an even more inviting atmosphere for communication than previously. Also new is the stockware concept in hall 8b. Here exhibitors draw attention to themselves who are capable of covering short-notice demand spikes with immediately available stockware for the 2010/2011 Autumn/Winter season.

The revival of particularly the Asian markets is continuing after the difficult year 2009. And the response of our exhibitors shows how important a well-functioning B2B platform in the heart of Europe is to them," explains Kirstin Deutelmoser, Director of GLOBAL SHOES. "GLOBAL SHOES is a fixed date in the calendars of all major European volume buyers. Here it's possible to talk business in a relaxed atmosphere."

The roughly 410 exhibitors from 20 countries will again show a broad spectrum of women's, men's, children's and sports shoes from casual to wellness styles. "GLOBAL SHOES traditionally represents the market for volume business," Kirstin Deutelmoser continues. "Almost all important suppliers will be with us again in September." Among the best-selling suppliers are for example ER Generation (USA), Goldfoot (Indien), Pine Marketing (Singapore), JC Concept (Malaysia), Gaflana, Hong Kong Carlo Rossi, Mad Mad, New York Group, Studio 56 und Y. Yessi (China) and Taxi Shoes (Germany).

The upcoming GDS – International Event for Shoes & Accessories and GLOBAL SHOES – leading trade show for sourcing take place from 10 to 12 September 2010 at the Düsseldorf fairgrounds. A total of 1,190 exhibitors from 41 countries (effective 23.08.2010) present the latest shoe and bag styles. At GDS approximately 1,800 collections for the 2011 Spring/Summer season will be shown, along with trends for the current season.
