After leaving the audiences spell bound in North India with their exotic and elegant designs, designer duo Kapil and Monika have enough reason to present their new bridal couture and indo western collection in grand style at the Kolkatta Couture Fashion Week with ace bollywood actress Mugdha Godse being the show stopper for the designer duo.

Currently retailing out of the fashion store Kimaya ( all outlets ), Amara – Mumbai , Kapil and Monika have also dressed the whose who of tinsel town, right from Karisma Kapoor, Diana Hayden, Mahie Gill to Prachi Desai, Claudia Ciesla. No wonder then that the enterprising designers have built themselves loyal clientele based out of Mumbai, New Delhi, Dubai, London and Canada.For Kapil& Monika, femininity forms the essence of their label with styles that suggest elegance and modernity, along with strong emphasis on fabric, cut & color.

The designer's collection comprises of richly embellished lehengas, sarees, cocktail gowns giving the feel of the mughal era with heavy embellished motifs to zardozi work on velvets and tunics in a medley of pinks, beige, mauve, reds, black, blues and whites.

Most outfits are easy to drape, with fabrics ranging extensively from velvet, brocade and chandelier net, creating an absolutely mesmerizing effect. Embroideries in contemporary patterns and embellishments in swarvoskis and stones lend the garments a magnetic, alluring feel. With each ensemble designed, Kapil & Monika endeavor to go beyond the realm of convention and produce an effect that is simply dazzling.
