JMS touts style at a value at Annual Fashion Show in NYC

JMS/Just My Style unveiled its plus-size holiday apparel styles and previewed its spring and summer fashions at the No. 1 plus-size apparel brand's Annual Fashion Show in New York City. Curvaceous models strutted the runway wearing styles awash in color accented with metallic, lace and beaded embellishments.
“At JMS, our focus is on delivering great style designed exclusively for the plus-size woman at an unbelievable value,” said Maria Teza, director/general manager for JMS, which has grown to become the nation's No. 1 plus-size apparel brand. “During our 25-year history, JMS has become the destination for women size 16 and larger because they know we are dedicated to her shape and her needs.”
The JMS fashion show began with styles from the upcoming holiday season available at Walmart stores, including dramatic animal print tops accented with metal chains, sleek jeggings paired with embossed velvet boyfriend shirts and long knit sweater coats worn with sequin-embellished tops. New Easy Dressing by JMS emphasized mix-and-match options incorporating base coordinates such as a slimming solution pant and cocoon jacket worn with jewel-toned tops.
“Heading into spring, we definitely wanted to emphasize the importance and versatility of dresses,” said Janet Freedman, creative director for JMS. “We will be introducing dresses for work and evenings out as well as more casual looks and several maxi styles.”
JMS previewed a flattering printed surplice dress that can be worn belted or on its own, as well as a new version of the Little Black Dress with ruched vee neckline and flutter sleeves.
The military trend that will be key for spring was represented with crisp ¾-sleeve tunics in olive paired with cargo capris with lacing at the hems.
A sneak preview of summer capped off the show, including a brilliant ombre medallion print tunic worn with leggings from Evolution by JMS, a vibrant purple tank with lace edging shown over jeans, and a gauze maxi dress with wood bead accents.
“JMS styles are updated every eight weeks, so we are always giving her a reason for coming back to shop,” said Freedman. “And, more important, the plus-size woman knows she can count on JMS to deliver styles that are designed especially for her shape.
“As a plus-size woman myself, I understand the importance of fit, and every detail is considered as we transition from concept to customer. From the selection of fabrics and shape of the sleeves to the placement of the seams and design of the neckline, we understand how to complement and flatter her curves.”
