Dormeuil launches exclusive suit collection for Indian affluents

Further adding to the India's already rising luxury quotient, Dormeuil, a premium fabric manufacturer from United Kingdom, has recently launched a collection of its suits in the range of five to five and a half million rupees, in the Indian market.
The Dormeuil range includes six different kinds of fabrics, like 'Vanquish-II' which was used to make a suit that stands out to be the world's most costliest suit costing around $1,13,000 that is Rs 5.1 million.
According to Dormeuil Mode SAS's Commercial Director Frederic Dormeuil, as more and more entrepreneurs and business magnates from India are successfully becoming part of the popular Forbes rich list, and their desires too are growing boundless and the collection is meant to serve these strong desires.
The brand first launched itself in India through a joint venture with Birla VXL, but then in July 2008 it went on to establish its own subsidiary here.
The firm has also revealed that, its various products would be displayed and made available for sale at its 80 retail outlets spread across the country. Besides these retail outlets the products can also be bought directly from the company's offices, Anil Gulati, Sales and Marketing Head of Dormeuil India said.
The India-based subsidiary would also be developing sales network in Nepal and Sri Lanka. This is mainly because of the geographical location that the company's Indian subsidiary can easily supply to the neighbouring countries of Nepal and Sri Lanka, Dormeuil said.
While talking about the company's future plans with regard to India, he further said that the company is desirous of launching its own outlets in the country over the next two years. He also added that they have their own outlets in various parts of the world and they would like to have that in India, too.
