Clothing designer Cynthia Ivey Abitz has unveiled her line of wedding and bridal apparel. This is a first for her New York based Ivey Abitz label, which was founded in 2005 by Ivey Abitz and her husband, Joshua Ivey Abitz.

Ivey Abitz looks are often described as vintage inspired or antique inspired. The wedding and bridal designs are an original blend of historic and modern sensibilities aimed at women with a creative eye and a desire to set themselves apart from fashion trends.

Compared to current bridal trends, Ivey Abitz bridal outfits are elegantly and refreshingly simpler with exquisite and unusual detail. There are no shiny sequins or long trains. Their simple elegance gives them a sophistication that transcends the spectacle that has become common at american weddings.

Designer Cynthia Ivey Abitz says, "At a wedding, one person bares their soul and binds it to another. Our wedding dress collection is for the bride that is looking for ways to set the day apart from all others and celebrate its profundity. The dresses are designed for women to simply feel and look like the best version of their true selves on their wedding day, rather than look like an overdone fantasy."

The designer says, "I believe we should dress to feel our best every day, and these designs are a natural extension of that philosophy into weddings."

Ivey Abitz wedding and bridal designs are versatile and will work for women in any role at a wedding, including the bride, mother of the bride, mother of the groom, bridesmaids, and guests.

An attractive selling point for Ivey Abitz is that their bridesmaid dresses can be worn again and again; the design elements are unique and not attached to a specific wedding aesthetic. The same goes for bridal gowns or outfits for the mother of the bride.

On the same token, the vintage look and sense of history in Ivey Abitz wedding apparel makes it a perfect candidate for heirloom giving. An Ivey Abitz wedding dress can be carefully stored and passed down to the next generation.
