Pure London names first of brands for new menswear line up

Pure London has announced the names of the first of the brands who are set to exhibit within its all-new menswear section in February 2016, showcasing A/W 2016 collections in apparel, footwear and accessories.

The launch of Pure Menswear forms part of a plan to refresh the show, enhancing its bold, new-look interior, while offering buyers a one-stop destination to source both men's and womenswear collections.

The new section will house latest collections from brands like Bravesoul, White Stuff, Balmedor, Brancaccio C., Haber and Dasher, Ljung, Shackleton, Claudio Lugli, Peter Gribby, Jacksin, Noble Wilde, etc.

Pure London will also introduce new content throughout the season as part of its 365 digital approach, as well as at the show, with seminars content tailored towards menswear brands, retailers and media.

Speakers already confirmed include Simon Middleton, founder of The Shackleton Design & Manufacturing Company and David Mullane, founding director of The Warehouse.

According to a Pure London press release, Simon Middleton opened Britain's first banjo factory, followed by Shackleton brand beers, clothing and accessories all manufactured in Britain.

The Shackleton's launch campaign on the Kickstarter platform was one of the top 2 per cent most successful of worldwide Kickstarter projects since the platform was launched.

David Mullane specialises in the in-depth understanding of the nature of luxury brands and is currently running W2, an independent menswear store stocking brands such as Maragret Howell and L'Estrange London.

Mullane is also a chairman at Friends of Glasgow School of Art; a registered charity working to support the beliefs of artists enriching the society.

Middleton and Mullane will add to the show's inspiring content programme which, teamed with the contemporary menswear offering, will cater to menswear and lifestyle retailers in search of new and exciting products.

The A/W 2016 edition of Pure London will take place from February 14-16, 2016 at Olympia London.

Pure London is UK's leading trade fashion buying event, representing womenswear, menswear, footwear, accessories and young fashion.

Organised by i2i Events Group, it takes place every February and August and show offers buyers the opportunity to discover collections launching for the season ahead from over 800 brands. (AR)
