 With effect from 1 November 2009 Charles Vögele Group will be taking purchasing activities in India and Bangladesh into its own hands. Over the past 15 years purchasing was handled through procurement agencies operated by Tex Line Associates Pte. Ltd., which is domiciled in Singapore.
Two years ago the procurement activities of the same company in Hong Kong and Shanghai were integrated into the Group.
The great success that resulted from operating our own procurement offices in Hong Kong and China has convinced us that we should also integrate purchasing activities in India and Bangladesh directly into our organization. This will mean that in future we will be even closer to our suppliers and will be able to react rapidly to changing customer needs, says Werner Lange, CPO of Charles Vögele. «In this way we directly control one more link in the value added chain, which gives us – as a vertically integrated business – a significant competitive edge.
