Snapdeal unveils fashion trends forecasting service

Snapdeal, a leading e-commerce portal based in India, has launched its new online fashion trends forecasting service called Snaptrends to guide the small- and medium-sized entrepreneurs or sellers on fashion and design product development, according to a press release issued by the company.

Snaptrends is the first trend-tracking and forecasting service in India to cover both ethnic wear and western wear. The service covers trend inspirations, key fabrics, colour direction, original prints, etc for an exclusive collection.

A panel of fashion and textile designers, analysts and experts will develop an array of well-designed and detailed innovations. This services' first project includes forecasting trends for the festive season 2015. It will also forecast trends for the coming A/W '15 and S/S '16.

Commenting on this new service, Vishal Chadha, senior vice president - Market Development, Snapdeal said, “Snaptrends will enable us to create value for our customers by bringing them the latest apparel and fashion accessories, and to our sellers by empowering them with valuable consumer insights.
