Catwalk parades from 23 brands at Barcelona Bridal Week

A range of fairy-tale like voluminous wedding gowns with flowing long trains and delicate lace sashes will be featured at the upcoming 24th edition of Spanish wedding fashion extravaganza Barcelona Bridal Week.

Slated to be held from May 6 to 11, 2014, the event will feature an array of latest 2015 wedding fashion collections from more than 23 national and international brands.

Expected to be attended by nearly 16,000 buyers and professionals from five continents, the event will be divided into three formats—Pasarela Gaudi Bride (runway shows only), Salon International Noviaespaña (a trading platform) and Eurobijoux Mibi (bridal fashion accessory show).

Pasarela Gaudi Bride, slated to take place from May 6 to 9, 2014, will highlight bridalwear, groomwear and party and occasion wear for wedding guests from names like Rosa Clará, Raimon Bundó, Jesús Peiró, Victorio & Lucchino, Yolan Cris, Inmaculada García, M&M, Cymbeline, Isabel Zapardiez, Jordi Dalmau and Hannibal Laguna.

Also designers like Ana Torres, Fran Sarabia, Francis Montesino, Manualvarez, Matilde Cano, Patricia Avedaño, Sonia Peña, Pronovias, Miquel Suay, Juana Martin, Carla Ruiz and Fuetecapala will showcase their designs at the same catwalk event.

Due to be held from May 9 to 11, the Noviaespaña International Trade Show would feature the latest trends in party, occasion, communion wears and groom fashion by more than 200 local and foreign brands belonging to Germany, Belgium, France, England, Italy, Lebanon, Portugal, South Korea, Poland, Turkey, Romania, Colombia, Mexico and Brazil.

The Eurobijoux Mibi event will display high-end fashion accessories from around 50 European labels.

With an annual turnover of over €341.76 million, the Spanish bridalwear industry is considered as one of the most active sectors of the country’s economy.
